ISO Certification Status
Through certification, the ISO, International Organization for Standardization, provides assurances of product and service quality and clear proof of a company's stance regarding the global environment.
In our increasingly globalized industrial society, there is a growing demand for international quality standards. Reflecting this trend, ISO 9001 certification is recognized around the world as a specification that guarantees international standards of quality are being achieved by a company's products and services.
In the azbil Group, Azbil Corporation's Fujisawa factory (now the Fujisawa Technology Center) was the first in Japan's control equipment industry to receive ISO 9001 certification. Since then, certification has been acquired by the Shonan factory, the Isehara factory, Yamatake Control Products (presently Azbil Corporaiton), Azbil Taishin, and all of the Group's factories in Japan, as well as by its sales and service centers nationwide.
In recent years, it has come to be accepted that greater thought needs to be given to the burden placed on the environment by corporate activities. Within the azbil Group this is treated as a priority management issue. By building environmental management systems, it became the first in the industry to acquire certification for ISO 14000 series international environmental standards.
First company in Japan's control equipment industry to acquire ISO 9001
ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management that was established in 1987; already it has been adopted as a national standard in approximately 100 countries. And the first company in Japan's control equipment industry to pass the rigorous ISO 9001 auditing process was Azbil Corporation. Azbil Trading Co., Ltd., the azbil Group's technology trading firm, is the first Japanese trading company to have had its buying & selling operations certified as being in conformance with ISO 9001.

ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is one of the ISO's environmental standards; specifically, it is the world standard for environmental management systems (EMS). These systems are designed to help protect the global environment though managing what a company does to reduce environmental load. Covering everything from inputs (such as a product's raw materials, components and energy) to outputs attributable to the production process (waste materials, waste water, etc.), ISO 14001 sees that appropriate systems for environmental protection are in place.
