Having set “human-centered automation” as a guidepost for the azbil Group’s advancement, our aim is to be a corporate group that helps to solve customers' problems.

Since our establishment in 1906, we have been pursuing measurement and control technologies and presenting solutions “that only the Yamatake Group can provide.” With our 100th anniversary in 2006, as a new direction for business development for the next generation, we created the Group philosophy of realizing safety, comfort and fulfillment in people’s lives and contributing to global environmental preservation through human-centered automation, and we established the Group symbol “azbil” to share this philosophy.
Now, some five years later, our “human-centered automation” business has progressed, and we are striving to extend it both inside and outside Japan. To accelerate our progress, since we are a corporate group with multifaceted contacts with customers, helping to solve customers' problems both by means of products and on-site solutions, in order to achieve more broad recognition by customers and society, we changed our company name from Yamatake Corporation to Azbil Corporation on April 1, 2012. At the same time, group companies in Japan were renamed to include “azbil,” thus unifying our brands and company names inside and outside Japan.
In the future too, by pursuing “human-centered automation” and pressing forward together as a unified Group, we will create new value on work sites together with our customers, with the goal of helping them to meet a wide variety of the challenges that they face.
