Azbil to Establish Strategic Planning & Development Office for Southeast Asia in Singapore
– Accelerating business growth in Southeast Asia –

TOKYO, Mar. 29, 2018: Azbil Corporation (head office: 2-7-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / President and CEO: Hirozumi Sone) announced today that it will open the Strategic Planning & Development Office for Southeast Asia at its branch in Singapore on April 1, 2018 with the aim of further accelerating the growth of overseas subsidiaries in Southeast Asia by providing assistance to and unifying management of their business. The office will take a regionwide role in promoting business, creating strategic plans, and managing business in the area.

To continuously provide value to customers in a rapidly changing environment, and to pursue the realization of the azbil Group philosophy of “human-centered automation,” the company has set three fundamental policies for management of the Group: “being a long-term partner for the customer and the community by offering solutions based on our technologies and products,” “taking global operations to the next level by expansion into new regions and a qualitative change of focus” and, to achieve these two goals, “being a corporate organization that never stops learning, so that it can continuously grow stronger.”

azbil Group has been developing globally mainly in the building automation business and process / factory automation business through its overseas subsidiaries in each country. However, as currently the market across the region is expanding, the Strategic Planning & Development Office for Southeast Asia aims to further expand its business strategically by introducing advanced business models such as "Energy Management" aimed at conserving energy that is being developed mainly in Japan. We will also introduce more core products and services already being provided in Japan to the customer across the region with the collaboration of Azbil’s business headquarters. Moreover, we are providing additional value to the customers in the region by making proposals based on our latest technology combined with IoT / AI etc. Furthermore, during our comprehensive area sales and area marketing activities, we also plan to obtain feedback to enhance our business / product development plans.
Therefore, the Strategic Planning & Development Office for Southeast Asia will pursue synergies among overseas subsidiaries in the South East Asia and assist them to provide products and services with high added value to satisfy customers’ needs so that the company’s business in Southeast Asia can rapidly advance. Building stronger business administration in the South East Asian region will enable more appropriate and prompt responses to customers, leading to business development which reflects the azbil Group’s inherent character, while being still rooted in the region.

A showroom will open next to the new office in May 2018, allowing stakeholders such as our customers in Singapore and Southeast Asia to learn about the azbil Group and its capabilities, main products, solutions and reference projects in the region. It will also be utilized as the place for value creation to promote more proactive communication with our stakeholders through remote & direct communication activities such as real time presentation and discussions when connected with Japan or other countries. This will enable us to offer the same solution as being delivered in Japan in cooperation with azbil Techno Plaza*.
