azbil Group Revises Corporate Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct

TOKYO, Dec. 6, 2019: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6845) announced that it has revised the azbil Group Guiding Principles, established in 1993, and updated the azbil Group Code of Conduct, established in 2000, to guide the behavior required to further put the Group’s philosophy into practice.

The azbil Group Guiding Principles act as guideposts to steer corporate behavior for the purpose of realizing the Group philosophy. Originally established with a focus on the corporate ethics held by the Group until now, the principles were revised to take into account the changing times, shifting that focus by incorporating factors such as globalization, diversity and inclusion, and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The azbil Group Code of Conduct are standards that emphasize corporate ethics and define the behavior of officers and employees.

Azbil established “human-centered automation” as the Group philosophy in 2006, which marked the 100-year anniversary of the Company’s founding. Through the pursuit of that philosophy, the azbil Group will continue forging ahead as a unified corporate organization able to contribute to the development of a sustainable society by creating new levels of value in partnership with customers at their sites and helping solve various issues.
The entire azbil Group is unified in further improving enterprise value through the revised azbil Group Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct.
