Smart Multivariable Flow Transmitter
Model JTD720A

CE

The Smart Multivariable Flow Transmitter is a differential pressure transmitter with built-in temperature and pressure compensation that measures the mass flow rate of gases.
It simultaneously measures differential pressure, pressure, and temperature in order to compensate for changes in density caused by static pressure fluctuations and temperature fluctuations, and outputs a 4–20 mA DC analog signal proportional to the mass flow rate (volumetric flow rate under standard conditions).

A standalone transmitter unit that measures gas mass flow rate

This single device integrates the functions of differential pressure transmitter, pressure transmitter, temperature converter, and computing unit. In this way the costs of equipment purchase, wiring, spare parts, and maintenance are reduced. Fewer devices also leads to better loop accuracy.

Temperature and pressure compensation can be achieved simply by replacing the existing transmitter and using other existing equipment as is (monitoring-management by mass flow rate instead of volumetric flow rate).

The existing piping, connection pipes and orifices can be used as is with no changes needed. So the user can simply rewrite the temperature or pressure compensation settings while keeping the differential pressure range as is.

High-accuracy/high-rangeability differential pressure setting

Rangeability of 135:1 in the span between 0.75 and 100 kPa. Use of the newly developed dual sensors guarantees a measurement accuracy of ±0.1% FS for differential pressures of 5 kPa and higher, and delivers reliable measurement of both high and low flow rates.

Temperature and pressure display option

A digital indicator (optional) displays not only flow rate, but also temperature and pressure, eliminating the need to install a temperature gauge and a pressure gauge. It is useful for monitoring. Saturated steam compensation

Density compensation specifically for saturated steam. Since the density of steam can be calculated from the static pressure of saturated steam, there is no need to input a temperature. Accurate measurement of the mass flow rate allows strict control of the amount of utility steam that is used.
