The number of days off at Azbil Corporation

Employee health is an important foundation of corporate activities
The azbil Group believes that the health of each employee is an important basis for corporate activities. We aim to create workplaces where each and every person at an azbil Group company can work in a lively, healthy, and comfortable way, with a feeling of safety and peace of mind, and in a manner that suits each individual. When everyone is able to express their diverse abilities and to live a fulfilling life both professionally and personally, productivity and performance will improve, resulting in innovation and contributions to society.*1 In July 2019, we defined our initiatives for work style reform and diversity promotion as “Health and Well-being Management” and announced the “azbil Group Health and Well-Being Declaration.” The company and its employees are actively collaborating to create a comfortable and easy-to-work-in environment and to promote physical and mental health.
There will be 127 days off in 2025
As part of our creation of new ways of working aimed at realizing the health and well-being of our employees, we are promoting efforts to enhance work-life balance. At the azbil Group, we believe that for the company and its employees to continue to grow sustainably, it is important not only to focus on business performance, but also to ensure that employees maintain their physical and mental health while working every day. Therefore, including spring, summer, and year-end/new-year vacations, along with Azbil’s unique holidays, we have set a total of 127 days off for fiscal year 2025. In addition, as part of our efforts in Japan to establish a culture that promotes work-life balance, we have implemented measures such as designating every Wednesday and Friday as “creative days,” where employees are encouraged to leave work on time, and setting recommended days for employees to take paid leave.
As a result, while the national average usage rate of paid leave is 62.1%*2, employees of the azbil Group had an average usage rate of 86.7% in fiscal year 2022 and 89.6% in the following fiscal year. These initiatives have been recognized, and Azbil Corporation has been certified as an Outstanding Corporation for Health and Productivity Management*3 in the health management survey conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for seven consecutive years since 2018, earning a place among the White 500, which is awarded to only the top 500 organizations.
Since its founding, the azbil Group has regarded human capital as an important asset for creating value. Moving forward, based on the philosophy of “human-centered,” we will continue to establish an environment where each employee can work healthily and vibrantly, aiming to contribute “in series” to a sustainable society.
