Types of calibration that the azbil Group can perform

Measurement and control technologies are essential for maintaining product quality and ensuring comfortable air conditioning. The azbil Group helps customers solve problems through its measurement and control technologies.

Correct measurement is essential for accurate control. However, the accuracy of measuring instruments inevitably deteriorates over time. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically perform a process called calibration, which involves comparing the instruments to a reference measuring instrument (standard instrument) to check the amount of deviation.

In October 1996, Azbil Corporation established the Measurement Standards Section of its Technology Standardization Department at the Fujisawa Technology Center in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, as a division dedicated to the calibration of various measuring instruments. Since then, as a manufacturer of measurement and control equipment, we have been working to improve our calibration technology to ensure measurement accuracy. Currently, the azbil Group has calibration facilities throughout Japan and can perform 13 types of calibration, including pressure, temperature, and humidity.

Azbil is also focused on registration with the Japan Calibration Service System (JCSS), Japan’s calibration business registration system based on the Measurement Act. Currently, the Measurement Standards Section of the Technology Standardization Department at the Fujisawa Technology Center has been certified as a JCSS calibration service provider in six categories: pressure, temperature, humidity, electricity (DC and low frequency), flow rate / flow velocity, and time/frequency/rotational speed, having passed rigorous evaluations by the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE). Furthermore, in the flow rate / flow velocity category, the Calibration Service Center of Azbil Kimmon Co., Ltd., the Calibration Group of Azbil Kyoto Co., Ltd., and the Calibration Section of the Shirakawa Factory of Azbil Kimmon Energy Products Co., Ltd. have also been certified as JCSS-registered businesses, making their calibration capabilities among the best in Japan.

In each calibration facility, we calibrate customers’ measuring instruments. Additionally, we calibrate the instruments used in the production operations, maintenance, and repair services of azbil Group companies both domestically and internationally. This work significantly contributes to the consistent quality of our products and solutions.
