Azbil Thailand and Fuyo General Lease Thailand Achieve 120% of Targeted Energy Savings in the First Year of ESCO Project at The Okura Prestige Bangkok

TOKYO, December 9, 2025-- Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6845) announces that Azbil (Thailand) Co., Ltd., an overseas subsidiary of Azbil, and Fuyo General Lease (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Representative Director & CEO: Norio Kobayashi), an overseas group company of Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO : Hiroaki Oda), have achieved a power reduction of more than 600,000 kWh in the first year of their energy service company (ESCO)*1project for The Okura Prestige Bangkok, a hotel owned by Asset World Corporation (AWC), a real estate company that is a member of the TCC Group, a major Thai conglomerate. This reduction represents 120% of the target.

This project is the second energy-saving project following the one implemented at The Athenee Hotel also owned by AWC in 2022, jointly undertaken by Azbil (Thailand) and Fuyo General Lease (Thailand). This project was once again carried out under a shared-savings contract*2.

Azbil (Thailand) worked with AWC to identify key areas of energy consumption and improve the efficiency of the air conditioning system in particular. Utilizing finance function of Fuyo General Lease (Thailand), the building energy management system (BEMS)*3 was implemented, and inverter control for the flow rate of chilled and cooling water was introduced to the primary and secondary pumps around the heat source equipment for air conditioning, as well as the cooling water pump for the cooling tower, in response to the air conditioning demand.

The contract was signed in May 2023, construction of the related facilities was completed in December of the same year, and services as an ESCO business began in January 2024. The project is part of AWC’s sustainability strategy and aims to maximize the reduction in energy consumption within the building. As a result, in the first year, we achieved a reduction in electricity consumption of more than 600,000 kWh, which is 120% of our target. Following the success in the first year, we have continued making steady progress with our energy-saving initiatives and received high praise from the TCC Group.

Azbil (Thailand) and Fuyo General Lease (Thailand) are currently operating ESCO projects at several hotels, including The Athenee Hotel and The Okura Prestige Bangkok, and will continue to expand their energy-saving measures.
