TOKYO, Jul, 17 2025: Azbil Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange code: 6845) participated in Locked Shields 2025, a cyber defense exercise hosted by the Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from May 6 to 9, with the aim of improving its comprehensive response capabilities to cyber attacks and gaining further knowledge about the latest cybersecurity trends.

Locked Shields is the world’s largest cyber defense exercise, focused on training participants to respond to comprehensive cyber attacks. This time, about 40 countries, including NATO member states, took part. Since 2021, Japan’s Ministry of Defense, Self-Defense Forces, and other relevant ministries and private businesses have officially participated, and it was our third time since 2023.

Azbil believes that it is important to strengthen its ability to respond to increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks through practical training exercises. In addition to protecting our own internal security, as a company that builds and provides products and services for critical infrastructure, we are also responsible for ensuring the safety of our customers’ systems. We will make use of the response capabilities, technical skills, and knowledge gained through participation in this exercise to strengthen the cybersecurity of our products and services, thereby contributing to our customers’ efforts to defend critical infrastructure.

Guided by the azbil Group’s philosophy of "human-centered automation," we are committed to developing products and services that incorporate the latest security technologies and contribute to the safety and security of our customers.
