azbil Group Social Media Policy

  1. Regarding Social Media Use
    1. Each employee who posts material online should do so responsibly, as an upstanding member of society, maintaining an awareness that anything posted on social media via the Internet is accessible to the general public and that, once posted, it cannot be completely deleted.
    2. When posting material online, azbil Group employees should comply with relevant laws, the azbil Group philosophy, azbil Group Business Conduct Policy, azbil Group Business Conduct Guidelines, and the company’s own internal regulations.
    3. Due caution should be exercised when posting material online in order to avoid disseminating erroneous information or causing misunderstandings.
    4. Any erroneous information or misunderstanding should promptly be rectified by an appropriate correction.
  2. Posting on Social Media
    1. Not all material posted by azbil Group employees represents official announcements or the opinions of the azbil Group. Please note that the azbil Group’s official announcements and opinions are made available by means of postings on the websites of individual azbil Group companies and press releases.
    2. For inquiries regarding the azbil Group Social Media Policy, contact the Public Relations Group of Azbil Corporation’s Corporate Planning Department.

The following corporate accounts are approved for operation by the azbil Group.

Prohibitions

When interacting with (following, replying to, etc.) an azbil Group corporate account, the acts listed below are prohibited.
If content (comments, photos, videos, etc.) posted to the azbil Group’s corporate account is deemed to constitute a prohibited act, the post may be deleted, the post may be hidden, or the account of the user who made the post may be blocked without prior notice. The azbil Group will not be held responsible for any damages incurred by the user as a result of this, and the user cannot raise any objection.

  1. Infringing, or potentially infringing, on the tangible or intangible property of a third party (including other users; the same applies below), Azbil Corporation, or an azbil Group company, or infringing on their privacy (including disclosure of information that can lead to the identification of individuals such as email addresses, telephone numbers, addresses, etc.)
  2. Slander or threat directed at a third party, Azbil Corporation, or an azbil Group company
  3. Causing or potentially causing disadvantage or damage to a third party, Azbil Corporation, or an azbil Group company
  4. Damaging or potentially damaging the reputation or credibility of a third party, Azbil Corporation, or an azbil Group company
  5. Sales activity or other commercial activity (including the use of azbil Group corporate accounts and information obtained through its use for commercial purposes)
  6. Violation or potential violation of public order and morals, such as obscene or blasphemous acts or remarks
  7. Participation in election campaigns, political campaigns, religious activities, or similar acts
  8. Soliciting investment, donation, funding, or purchase of goods or services
  9. Acts that use, provide, or transmit harmful programs or files such as computer viruses, or acts that are likely to do so
  10. Access by illegal means such as hacking
  11. Monitoring or duplicating all or part of an azbil Group corporate account
  12. Impersonating a user of the azbil Group corporate account, a third party, or the azbil Group corporate account
  13. Violation or potential violation of laws and regulations (including export-related laws and regulations)
  14. Other acts prohibited by the social media company
  15. In addition to the preceding, acts that Azbil Corporation deems inappropriate, such as acts that hinder or may interfere with the business of a third party, Azbil Corporation, or an azbil Group company

  • The azbil Group assumes no responsibility for damages incurred by social media users as a result of their use or inability to use an azbil Group corporate account.
  • The azbil Group assumes no responsibility for any disputes between its social media users or between its social media users and a third party regarding an azbil Group corporate account and its use or nonuse.
  • The azbil Group assumes no responsibility for content (comments, photos, videos, etc.) that is posted to an azbil Group corporate account by social media users. In addition, all copyrights (including the rights stipulated in Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Law) of information posted by users to the azbil Group corporate account belong to Azbil Corporation, and users of the account may not exercise personal rights. The account user has no right to claim compensation for the attribution or waiver of such rights.
  • We cannot promise to reply to posts (comments, direct messages, etc.) posted by social media users to the azbil Group corporate account, regardless of the content of the post.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy and completeness of the information transmitted through an azbil Group corporate account. In addition, the contents may be changed or deleted without notice.
  • An azbil Group corporate account may be changed, terminated, or deleted without prior notice.
  • We cannot answer technical questions about particular social media networks. Thank you for your understanding.
  • The azbil Group may change this content without obtaining users’ consent. In this case, the changed content will naturally take effect when the azbil Group publishes it on the website or by other means, and thereafter the changed content will apply to users of azbil Group corporate accounts.
