Method of Estimating CO2 Reduction by ESCO and other energy management solutions

We estimated the CO2 reduction achieved by energy conservation equipment and systems introduced by our ESCO service based on the following.

1. We estimated the amount of reduced CO2 emissions in 2022 as a result of services implemented by our ESCO from 2012 to 2021.
2. Estimates of CO2 reduction are based on the amount of reduction implemented by Azbil Corporation’s ESCO business and the amount of business eligible for subsidies contingent upon reduction of energy use.
3. The CO2 reduction we helped to achieve overseas was estimated using the amount of electricity saved through our energy conservation projects and the emission coefficient for electricity, which was taken from International Energy Agency data.
