Supplementary Explanations

13.1 Management system construction
The term “management system” refers to the building of a mechanism that allows for continual improvement through plan-do-check-act (PDCA) so that we can comply with laws and regulations related to business and products as well as with customer requirements.
If there is no code of conduct for compliance with laws, regulations, and customer requirements related to business and products, please comply with these aG Sustainable Procurement Guidelines.
Risks can significantly impact business activities. Therefore, it is important to specify and evaluate the various risks (dangers or uncertainty) that we face, draft countermeasures, and implement risk management.

13.2 Supplier management
The responsibility of taking a sustainable approach to the supply chain is expected not only of the company itself, but it is also similarly expected of suppliers.
Accordingly, it is necessary to also communicate our code of conduct requirements to our suppliers, monitor compliance and push for improvements.

13.3 Grievance mechanism
The term “grievance mechanism” refers to the system in which related parties are notified and urged to correct actions that may violate the code of conduct.
This is done through various reporting contact points, such as suggestion boxes, telephone, e-mail, website posting, reporting apps, and external organizations.
It must be possible to make complaints anonymously, and whistleblowers must not receive any unfavorable treatment in the processing of complaints.
