2. Occupational Safety and Health Management System / Health and Well-being Management Promotion Framework

[Occupational Safety and Health Management System]
The azbil Group’s Occupational Safety and Health Management System is led by a Chief Safety and Health Officer appointed by the President and CEO. Safety and Health Committees at each business site carry out related activities.
A Central Safety and Health Committee is convened twice a year, comprising members from executive management, labor unions, site managers, division heads, the department in charge of safety and health, and the chief industrial physician. This committee is responsible for determining policy directions and reviewing the progress of safety and health initiatives.

In addition, we regularly conduct internal audits of the activity plans and implementation status at each site and Group company. Labor safety is overseen by the aG Safety Management Department, while occupational health is managed by the Human Resources Department. Each area holds specialized committee meetings to deliberate on policies and monitor progress.

[Health and Well-being Management Promotion Framework (Initiatives for Physical and Mental Wellness)]

  • At Azbil, the Chief Safety and Health Officer, appointed by the President and CEO, leads the promotion of “Health and Well-being Management,” with the Human Resources Department serving as the primary coordinating body.
  • Company-wide policies and plans are deliberated on and approved by the Central Safety and Health Committee, and subsequently reported to the Management Meeting and the Board of Directors.
  • The Hygiene Subcommittee includes hygiene officers from each business site, the chief industrial physician, and representatives from the Human Resources Department. The committee meets six times a year to discuss initiatives for promoting physical and mental health.
  • The Medical Professionals Meeting is held monthly, where industrial physicians and nursing staff discuss health management at each business site.
  • The azbil Group Health Insurance Society and the Human Resources Department hold monthly meetings to discuss joint initiatives.
  • We hold discussions with the labor union once or twice a year to exchange views on company-wide policies and plans for promoting employee health.
  • We also collaborate with the Safety and Health Committees at each business site and occupational health staff to share policies and initiatives for promoting employee wellness.
