Azbil Berca Indonesia’s Mangrove Reforestation Initiative
PT. Azbil Berca Indonesia has been actively engaged in mangrove reforestation efforts since February 2024, contributing to the preservation and restoration of the local natural environment.
In June 2025, 18 employees participated in the company’s second mangrove planting initiative, which marked their first time taking part in the activity. Collaborating with Taman Wisata Mangrove, a local NGO, the team planted mangrove trees along the coast of Pantai Indah Kapuk in Jakarta. Mangroves play a vital role in tropical coastal ecosystems, serving as habitats for a wide variety of aquatic life. However, their distribution has been steadily declining due to urban development and the expansion of aquaculture ponds.
Through this initiative, ABID aims to raise environmental awareness among its employees, deepen their understanding of biodiversity conservation, and foster hands-on experience in sustainability efforts.
Looking ahead, ABID plans to continue monitoring the growth of the planted areas and expand its educational outreach, further strengthening partnerships with the local community.
