The Spirit of the azbil Honeybee Club

The azbil Group regards social contribution activities as an integral part of the corporate culture and climate necessary for maximizing enterprise value .
We are committed to contributing to society through both our core business and voluntary initiatives, and we are always guided by our unique “human-centered” approach.
Our goal is to engage in employee-driven activities that benefit society, improve people’s lives, and protect the global environment.
To ensure that voluntary social contribution activities become deeply rooted in our corporate culture, we have created a framework that encourages employee participation.
Any employee can choose to participate freely, with a minimal financial burden; a small reduction in personal spending is all it takes, making it easy to join.
Members provide support funds or goods, which are then partially allocated to the organizations or individuals involved in voluntary social contribution activities, either directly connected to the members themselves or otherwise.
To promote this kind of participation, we established the azbil Honeybee Club in October 2009 as a voluntary organization independent from the company itself.
This “platform for engagement” enables employees to take part in meaningful social contribution activities in a way that reflects Azbil’s values and spirit.

The azbil Honeybee Club – Our Approach to Support

The azbil Honeybee Club is a voluntary organization independent from the company, open to all azbil Group employees and executives.
Support funds collected from members are used to provide assistance once a year to activities or organizations that members are involved in or wish to support.
Members are free to nominate recipients for support. After a preliminary review by the club’s secretariat, a vote is held among members to determine the final recipients.
After support has been rendered, the recipients are asked to report back on their activities, helping to foster a meaningful connection between members and the organizations they support.
We cherish the heartfelt intentions of each and every member, and we remain committed to continuing the warm and thoughtful support that is unique to the azbil Honeybee Club.

The Origin of the Name “azbil Honeybee Club”

Bees are vital creatures that play an indispensable role in the growth of plants.
As they fly among flowers, they quietly work behind the scenes by helping to pollinate plants.
Their presence is also essential for the growth of the food we casually consume every day.
Each of us plays an important role in society, just like bees.
This initiative reflects our desire to contribute to society and to support those who do so.
It embodies our wish to collectively support the contributions of our peers.
Bees are also known for their strong sense of community.
By cooperating with one another, they gather nectar little by little from flowers,
and that eventually becomes the sweet honey that everyone loves.
In a similar manner, we aim to quietly support the creation of a society
where small acts of goodwill come together to bring happiness to all.
This is the vision behind the azbil Honeybee Club.

Comment From the Designer
This character was designed with the themes of strength, kindness, and cheerfulness in mind. Since the azbil Honeybee Club is also involved in environmental activities, the wings were illustrated to resemble leaves, to symbolize nature. It’s a bee, but also feels like a leaf fairy. The character also evokes the image of the sun, spreading energy and positivity.

*The name and character design were selected through a public contest among azbil Group employees.
In 2025, the symbol character was officially registered as a trademarked mark.

Azbil to Provide Support to the azbil Honeybee Club and Social Welfare Organizations

Since the first round of support in FY2010, we have been providing assistance across a wide range of fields, including social welfare, disaster relief, environmental conservation, sports, preservation of traditional culture, and health and well-being.
