Training Framework and Overview
Azbil’s Education and Training Framework
At the Azbil Academy, we implement a comprehensive range of programs to develop talent that contributes to the sustainable advancement of society in collaboration with workplaces and on-site operations. These include:
- Company-wide common training for employees and partner companies
- Structured programs by year and job level, such as annual training for new employees through their fifth year, and hierarchical training up to managerial positions
- Selective programs to develop specialized talent aimed at enhancing both mindset and skills, including DEI, digital transformation (DX), and global talent
- Career development support through initiatives such as mentorship programs, internal internships, and the Professional Meister system
Through these initiatives, we foster and nurture individuals who can drive continuous growth and innovation.
Cultivating Global Human Resources
- English-based training sessions that bring together next-generation leaders from group companies in Japan and overseas
- Short-term exchange programs between domestic operations and overseas affiliates to deepen global business understanding and experience
- Pre-assignment training and follow-up sessions (including interviews) for employees newly assigned to overseas subsidiaries and affiliates.
Developing DX-capable Human Resources
Digital transformation (DX) will serve to support the further expansion of both our growth and core businesses and the strengthening of our management base. To promote and accelerate DX, it is necessary to transform and create businesses and operations through business capabilities, data science capabilities, and data engineering capabilities. To develop DX human resources, we define Azbil’s DX human resources by role and we conduct various seminars and educational programs to facilitate skill acquisition, as well as utilize inhouse LMS and external e-learning.
As part of this effort to develop DX human resources, a DX assessment (assessments targeting transformational mindsets and skills) was conducted for employees. The results of each assessment are disclosed to each individual immediately after the examination takes place, allowing the individual to identify the skills that are lacking and to clarify the subjects to be studied. The results are also used by supervisors to provide appropriate training instructions to their subordinates and assign them to projects, as well as to develop training programs and plan and consider mindset-building activities.
We will continue to expand our DX human resource development efforts and accelerate their deployment to the global level in cooperation with the training leaders at our overseas bases.
