Safety Meister System

A "Safety Meister" is a safety and health expert who has knowledge, experience, and leadership skills in safety and health. As of July 2025, there are 54 Safety Meisters registered across the country.
The role of the Safety Meister is to prevent work-related accidents and provide guidance and support to improve on-site capabilities. To enhance safety standards, the Safety Meister conducts the following activities:
- Safety patrols and guidance (at sites, workplaces, factories)
- Responding to work-related accidents (through on-site investigations, prevention of recurrence, and support measures to prevent similar accidents)
- Human resources development
Health and safety training
Planning and producing educational videos
Safety Meister activity results
1.Patrols
Safety Meisters primarily patrol high-risk and new job sites. The purpose of the patrols is to identify and reduce risk, support activities, raise safety awareness, and prevent occupational injuries.

Hands-on training using equipment: Head impact, electric shock, how to use stepladders and safety harnesses
Hands-on training using video: Air duster explosions, short circuits, liquid damage, sandbag falls
One-point training: How to use standard tools, mastering pointing and calling, falling (cerebellar function), KY-RA practice, examples of accidents at service sites
Work procedure manual case study: PDCA practice in actual work
Virtual reality (VR) safety experience: electric shock, falling off a ladder, hitting the head, stepping through the ceiling, falling down the stairs, falling over a chair
