35. Maintaining Accurate Records
In addition to records and reports on accounting and tax operations, we keep records and reports on other business operations of our group in an accurate, truthful, and timely manner. We never illegally reproduce, alter, destroy, divulge, etc., information held by the aG.
36. Proper Accounting
We follow proper accounting procedures for the particular aG company’s business operations in accordance with the prescribed rules. Further, we provide the company with accurate reports and accounts of expenditures and do not make false statements in any way whatsoever.
37. Protection of Intellectual Property
Any intellectual property, including inventions, devices, designs, etc., created as a result of our work must be protected as company property that serves as the source of our competitiveness. In the event of an invention or the like, we strive to protect the rights thereto in accordance with the particular company’s and the aG’s common rules, and we take care that there is no information leak outside the company. We obtain prior approval from the particular company and the aG before disseminating or publishing related information at an academic conference or in a technical paper, etc.
38. Ban on the Use of Company Property for Non-Business Purposes
We use company property for business purposes only. We do not use it for any personal purposes.
39. Confidentiality
Companies incur substantial damage from the leakage of confidential information like management strategies, management plans, financial information, personnel information, technical information, know-how, customer information, and other important management information.
Recognizing that the risk of information leakage increases along with the development of IT technology, we make sure to prevent any leakage of confidential information, to manage any confidential information properly, and not to use any confidential information other than for business purposes. When copying, disclosing, or distributing confidential information, we handle it in accordance with the applicable rules.
40. Handling of Confidential Information after Separation from the Company
When leaving the aG, we return all materials and media containing confidential information to the particular aG company. Even after leaving the aG, we do not, without the company’s prior written permission, use or disclose any confidential information that we have come to know during our time at the company.
41. Non-Infringement of Another Company’s Patent Rights
Because companies invest a substantial amount of time and money in the development of new products, a company’s intellectual property rights, including patent rights, utility model rights, design rights, and trademark rights, are valuable assets. Before launching a product on the market, we conduct the necessary research on the intellectual property rights of other companies and take appropriate measures to ensure that there is no infringement of the rights of others.
42. Non-Infringement of Copyright
With regard to texts, drawings, photos, data, computer programs, databases, etc., whose copyright is held outside the aG, we do not make illegal copies or use the item beyond the scope permitted under the relevant license agreement or terms of use, etc.
43. Appropriate Management and Use of Other Companies’ Confidential Information
In the case of confidential information provided by another company on the basis of a confidentiality agreement, etc., we appropriately manage the information according to the agreement, and do not use it or provide it to any third party beyond the purpose or scope granted under the agreement. If the agreement or license does not state specific rules for handling the information, we handle it appropriately, giving it the same degree of care and attention that is given to the aG’s own confidential information.
44. Ban on Wrongful Acquisition of Confidential Information
We do not obtain or use the confidential information of another company, etc., through wrongful means. We do not allow another employee to disclose to us any confidential information obtained from a previous employer, and we do not use such information.
